I have been using ce and bce (current era and before current era) for year assignment, but that has to do with a solar calendar and not lunar, whose eras only change every couple of thousand years [more information on celestial patterns and alignments are necessary] whereas a lunar age is roughly every 13,000 years. And then there are seismic ages (hmm). As our main calendars are solar (for good reason, as they allowed to better track our seasons) and lunar, so instead of saying this year is 2007 ce it should be 2007 cse (current solar era). Obviously a regular lunar calendar should be denoted as cle (current lunar era) and bcle (before current lunar era), although naming measurements of preceding eras should be more accurate than a simple "before current".
