The twilight hours are very special, not only because they form the transitional barrier separating day and night, casting shadows and calm, a shifting visual perspective of uncertainty, but it is the place between sleep and wake, where the infinite limitlessness of possibility is easier to see.

The suggestion with charity is that it is practiced as anonymously as possible, for it is better to be charitable out of a desire to be so while those who don't know consider you a miser than to be charitable for the recognition. However, any motivating force to be kind and giving toward others is worthwhile, so it not necessary to chastise those who are charitable for the recognition.
