A shadow is itself a 3 dimensional object, or more correctly put, it is an extended, physical part of whatever object casts it. It is, in contrast to its surroundings, a lack of radiant energy, rooted at the casting object on one side and the area where we "view" the shadow on the other side. In between, and connecting, these points is a 3 dimensional space whose boundaries are defined by the lessened amount of radiant energy.
Governments May Be Faulty but are Still Necessary

All governments may be faulty, but they are necessary and they are trying to achieve some sort of happiness; yet they are faulty and if a person is to live a free life, or any reasonable attempt at one, he must throw our what he has been taught and make his own rules based upon his vision of honor. If you can achieve this without encroaching on the freedom of others you will achieve the breath of freedom few people taste.
