A good practice for examining one's views/opinions/positions is to take the side opposite one's view and argue in its favor. This should be done in ernest, as it will help reveal any flaws in one's reason. The hesitation, difficulty, or refusal to do so comes from ego and ignorance. Ego should never be allowed to interfere with the pursuit of understanding, because at that time it is the agent of ignorance, the darkness of slavery which opposes the light of freedom.

The difficulty of seeing beyond one's own beliefs should always be considered, as it being considered in the conscious mind helps divest yourself of this arrogant roadblock to better understanding, so that you may grow stronger without the weakness of a limited perspective.

From what can be thus far witnessed of GOAE we see order built out of the Chaos to create a magnificent and beautiful experience of existence. This building of oneself can be argued to be the sole occupation of GOAE, along with destruction which is of course an inextricable part of the building process, and by observing this in GOAE we find the lesson of the prime importance of building and mastering oneself. In the process of personal building the application of destruction is crucial, applied to destroy ignorance and the obstacles it creates for the pursuit of understanding.
